A remembrance of a Great son of Palamadai
Shri P A Seshan (Leo of the Hindu) on his 108th
birth day today.
His
contrtibutions to the welfare of Palamadai no one can forget. An untiring
personality who inspired several people of Palamadai. He was also President of
the Ramaseshaier Higher Secondary School, Pattamadai.

பாலாமடை கிராமம், மகாகவி நீலகண்ட தீக்ஷிதர் அதிஷ்டானம்,
மங்களேஸ்வரி சமேத மங்களாங்குரேஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில், சங்கர மடம் ஆகியவைகளின்
வளர்ச்சிக்காகவும் பாடுபட்டவர் திரு பி.எ.சேஷன்.
சிறந்த பொருளாதார மேதை. தமிழகம் மற்றும் இந்திய நாட்டின்
தொழில் வளர்ச்சியில் பத்திரிகையாளனாய் அவர் பங்களிப்பு பெரிதும் மதிக்கப்பட்டது.
பல நிதி அமைச்சர்கள், தொழில் அதிபர்கள் அவருடைய ஆலோசனை பெற்றார்கள். “இந்து”
நாளிதழில் அவருடைய பொருளாதார, தொழில், விவசாயம் பற்றிய கட்டுரைகள், அவருடைய பங்கு சந்தை
பற்றிய லியோ நியுஸ் அண்டு நோட்ஸ் முதலியவை மிக மிக ப்ரசித்தம்.
பாலாமடையின் வளர்ச்சிப்பணிகளில் சங்கர மடம் கட்டுமானம்,
ஸ்ரீ மங்களேஸ்வரி சமேத ஸ்ரீ மங்களாங்குரேஸ்வரர் கோயில் கும்பாபிஷேகம், பல பல மராமத்து பணிகளுக்காக தொழில்
அதிபர்களிடமிருந்து நிதி பெற்று தந்தார், அவரும் நிறைய பொருளுதவி செய்தார். மேலும் நீல கண்ட
தீக்ஷிதர் அறக்கட்டளை (Mahakavi
Sri Nilakanta Dikshithar Foundation), காசி விஸ்வநாத மங்களேஸ்வரி பக்த ஜன சபா மற்றும் பாலாமடை பொதுநல கணக்கு (Palamadai Welfare Account) ஆகியவைகள் உருவானதில் அவருடைய
பங்களிப்பு போற்றத்தக்கது. அவர் உயிர் நீத்த பொழுது நான் எழுதிய இரங்கலிலிருந்து
சில வரிகள்.

Known for his hard
work and phenomenal memory power, Mr. Seshan was felicitated on completion of
100 years by the management of The Hindu at a function held in the office.
Analytical views
Apart from his analytical
views on the performance of corporates, he was advising several of them,
including the TVS group, Ramco, Shriram Group, Sakthi Sugars, India Cements and
Sanmar Group of companies on their growth plans.
After his retirement, Mr.
Seshan was associated with a host of organisations, including those in culture
and education.
He was founder-president of
the Mahakavi Sri Neelakanta Deekshithar Foundation, the Palamadai and Sri Kasi
Viswanathan Mangaleswari Baktha Jana Sabha and the Palamadai Welfare Account.
